2003 Kia Sportage diesel rough idle when cold

I have the above and first it was hard to start. Had a garage change the glow plugs Whilst I was at it had fuel
Filter, oil filter and coolant changed.

Before the work was done it ran fine even when the engine was cold.

Now after the work it starts on half a turn even after a week but the idle is terrible when cold.

Checked the new fuel filter and it is on tight.

Any thoughts. ?

What make/manufacturer is the new Fuel Filter ?

Possibly a leaking fuel injector seal. If any of the seals are leaking the engine will be difficult to start and run poorly when cold. I have had this on a previous car, once the engine heats up it ran much smoother. In my case the garage proved it on the diagnostic machine.
I am no expert but it is a possibility.

I would suspect EGR valve carboned up and not operating as it should.
