Ditto, done update twice with 32Gb SanDisk Cruzer Blade and no problems...
You do need to be careful when selecting the size of the USB stick, as Kia themselves recommend at least 64Gb in their Update program.
Future updates could well be larger than 32Gb!

That’s interesting as when I attempted to use a new 64Gb SD card, the update programme objected and instructed me use a 32Gb card and I was prevented from going any further until I replaced the 64Gb one with the recommended 32Gb.

That is in respect of the Gen5 Compact version of the Nav system.

My new Sportage has the gen5W Nav, so perhaps they’ve added something to the firmware to accept 64Gb (or greater) on the gen5W!

I've concluded from this thread that Kia's infotainment system is not wholly compatible with the USB standards. Any certified USB stick of an adequate size formatted in accordance with Kia's requirements should work.

I can't get mine to work, I have tried two different 128 Gb Sandisk USB drives but after a few seconds when it says reading the drive I get a message which says no media files available. My dealer has said book it in and they will do it so I think I will. After this update apparently OTA updates will be enabled which will ease things considerably I suspect.

What version are you currently on and which one are you trying to update to?

I did and that's where I got the message
I've actually got it to work, but not sure exactly why! It is now performing the "update after switching the engine off" routine, not sure how long it will take but I hope to get a message over Kia Connect when it is done. In the meantime does anyone know of any way of checking how far through it is?

Don't think there is a way to check progress, just wait for the Kia Connect App to send you a message. Takes about 20 minutes I think.

45 minutes in fact to get "update successful" message. However on checking car saw a message which said "not all files uploaded redownload from Kia and retry"! However on checking things through all seems well so who knows. You can tell Kia isn't a software company which is worrying given where they are going with their cars.

Common message, just wait a bit longer & it finds the files it needs.

Yes I got that too although software versions seemed correct. Got the same message on subsequent restarts so re-did the software update and all ok now.
