Hi peeps!
As i mentioned in my introduction thread, I picked up our near-new Soul Maxx on Friday there, all is awesome!
but have been experiencing some issues regarding the USB/AUX ports.
It seems that if i plug in my iPod (or anything with a stereo output) into the AUX port, the system picks it up and switches to the AUX mode as it should, but audio is extremely choppy and totally garbled (not distorted in the same way like it would be if the volume was cranked up on the device). So i'm thinking, hmm, that's not right. I also tried both the NTSC and PAL options, no change.
So, I thought I'd try the USB slot with a few of our flash drives (formatted to the correct standard as per owners manual), and... nothing. The flash drives activity light doesn't even illuminate or blink once, and the main unit doesn't do anything... doesn't even pick it up as being inserted.
So, naturally, i went back to the dealer the next day. After speaking with tech's and parts staff, they said I required the iPod connection cable (?) and advised i try getting one online, even though I clearly explained the faults i was having. I thought, ok, I'll get one for the heck of it as i'll still use it, but still, I highly doubt that'll fix the problem, as to me that USB slot isn't live and the AUX input is beyond use.
I'm wondering, has anyone else experienced this? I had a guess it might have been a fuse that went, but checked the fuse (which I think corresponds to it) but all was good.
I'll be going back to the dealer again this week hopefully once I get the cable delivered. It's a strange one.
I wonder if resetting the main unit would fix it?
Cheers!
