**UPDATE - SOLVED
Thank you. I bought a faster SD Card, a UHS-1 spec one and it worked. Everything is as expected. I guess the old Kia supplied card couldn't cope with the new update. Thank you all for your help
** UPDATE

I used the online software update tool today, on my MY17 C'eed 2017. I took the SD card out of the car, downloaded the latest UK software and maps and saved the data on the existing SD card. I made sure I chose the right update software for the Compact Gen head unit.

Updated it in the car and all seemed to work, some new features I can see (like the DAB radio has images on, and favourites have changed) however the home screen just has "Starting Navigation, please wait" on the left hand side, and when I go to the main NAV page, nothing is there. It is like the maps aren't there anymore? They appeared briefly for a moment and then the system froze and they disappeared again. They don't seem to want to show up. The map files appear to be on the SD Card as I checked on the computer.

So, is this an issue that only a dealer can sort. I've re-run the update three times and still no maps or navigation display.

Hi

No I haven't tried that yet. I think I will. I selected MY17 C'eed update for Compact Gen Unit as the SD Card in the car said MY17 when originally did it.

The sat nav came on today after 1 min of driving, but when I try to use it, it just hangs the system and doesn't do anything.

I'm annoyed I did the update myself as I thought it would go smoothly.

I'll update once I've tried that.
