I have just had to do a long journey from SW Wales to Harwich, via Bath and back - 700 miles!!
This involved a lot of motorway driving: M4 and M25. Fortunately there were no major hold ups, but the Sat Nav saw minor hold ups (orange) and more serious (red). It did not seem to adjust my ETA or offer any reroute. (My old Skoda Yeti, 10 years ago, once stopped me going northbound round the M25 and sent me south as the M25 was totally blocked in the anti-clockwise direction). Has anyone experience the same or know how to change any settings?
The speed warnings were amazing not only did it get most of them, it warned me 0.4 miles in advanced and/or said if it was a 'average speed' warning. it even showed your average speed until you exited the zone.
I had to use public chargers for the first time in 3 years of EV driving! I didn't want any 'apps' just plugin and pay on my credit card. On a Mer charger it took ÂŁ45 pre-payment and it came to about ÂŁ30 pounds - I have not received any refund yet. On the return journey on the M4, I was running low on charge - 50 miles! I stopped at the nearest service station - 2 chargers, one AC and the other DC, but both occupied. I asked the car where was the nearest fast charger - 1.5 miles away! Saved!

You don't get a refund on pre auth. As it never actually debits your account.
It just adjusts that ÂŁ45 & debits the correct amount.
So you would just see a ÂŁ30 debit on your account.

Thanks for your info' (a bit slow in replying). That did work with the 'Mer' charger, the ÂŁ45, didn't appear on my card but the ÂŁ43.76 charge for the charge did. On the Ionity charger I used (when down to 50 miles). I said scan the QR code: I did and it eventually said I had failed (?). Then a very nice chap in a very expensive Porsche Taycan EV, parked next to me helped me out. He put his hand over the QR codes I didn't want, and scanned the direct payment one. This 'Pre-Auth' ÂŁ40 and I charged at a rate of about 120kW. When I checked my credit card there was awaiting authorization of ÂŁ4.29 and the ÂŁ40 to Ionity. Both were authorized - I have the feeling that the first QR code I scanned maybe a monthly charge! I tried to get a receipt from their website but it said there was no record of my charging... I got about an extra 200 mile charge (I didn't note it exactly). This, at about 79p/kWh (10 times my home charging!) could be about ÂŁ40...
Back to the Sat/Nav rerouting. I have discovered that if you put a route in, then press the menu icon bottom right (see attached picture) you get all the delays on that route, with the distance and +time. it even said that it had rerouted on the last one...

Unfortunately I have to repeat this 700 mile journey on Monday...

Sorry if I have added two pictures to the post - Phone to PC problem...
Just another picture while charging: A Tesco EV lorry turned up to recharge and blocked off all the other chargers - upset a few new arrivals. Don't lorries have their own chargers somewhere?
