A year ago, I commented positively on Mantle's after the 4-year service had been performed. Yesterday, Mantle's did the 5-year inspection and I have no criticisms about their performance.

Car washed and vacuumed before it was returned to me plus a litre of Mobil C3 oil placed in the car for top-up purposes, should that become necessary.

In the documentation that was presented to me, the price of pre-paying services 6 & 7 was noted for my information, should I wish to avail myself of the KIA care policy at ÂŁ279.00. They also offer two MOTs at ÂŁ35.00 a pop, so ÂŁ349.00 for the whole shebang. I'm in two minds at the moment, unsure whether to hang on to the car or p/ex it against something else - EV6 is impressive! The ÂŁ349.00 cost of having two further main dealer stamps in the book is tempting though and the Optima still runs like a dream.

ÂŁ30 per annum road tax or whatever it's called these days and 43 mpg over 5 years makes it a decent car with all the space and toys anyone could want.

Further to my last, not content with sending me a text message on Monday to ensure that I was happy with their performance in regard to the service on my car last Thursday, I have received an email this morning reiterating the message. It seems that Mantle's are eager to cover all bases to ensure customer satisfaction.

I can't knock them for that but I'm curious as to whether all KIA dealerships show that kind of commitment or are they going above and beyond? The last paragraph is interesting.

Dear Mr ****

This is a courtesy email to make sure that you were happy with the level of service that you received from Mantles Kia when your Optima came in recently. If there is any way that you feel we could have improved our service we would greatly appreciate a call on the number shown below.

You may also receive a similar email/call from Kia, this is something they do from time to time, to make sure that their dealerships are doing their jobs correctly. If there is any reason why you would not give us 10/10, again we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

Kind regards

**

Last paragraph is standard.

They don't want to be marked 9/10... Most see that as pretty good but Kia see that as a fail because something must be wrong if you've knocked a mark off.
They want 10/10 and want the opportunity to fix any issues before you slag them off to Kia HQ. Seems fair really.

Hi Indalo ,this is basiljags and i have read your post with interest ,i too am a valued customer of Mantle's and have purchased 3 x Sportage 13,16, 2020 plates ,my Wife has a 2018 Picanto ,we have so far had 7 x cars from Mantle's ,as when they were a Ford / Mitshubishi my Wife had 3 x Fiesta's ,so in 14 x year's that.seven car's ,so that's testament to how i think they run their dealership and how they are commited to their customer's needs ,they have a very friendly and careing personel as over the last 17 x year's my Wife and Myself have got to know the staff at all level's on a personal basis ,yes i agee the EV6 looks an awsome car ,when the time comes to trade in my Sportage then i will certainly give it consideration .

Can't recommend Mantles enough either bought my Optima from them in January 22 and they were brilliant with whole process of buying the car. Unfortunately this isn't my nearest dealer so won't be using them servicing etc but still a great dealer.
