Kia connect authentication issue

Hi all,

It seems Kia still have to master the dark art of building successful apps! It’s long been a weak point

Yesterday I moved from an ICE Sportage to an EV3. The dealer tried to set everything up but the app was having an issue. I have deleted the old car prior to handing it over, and it’s gone from the connect app. So far so good.

But I continue to have the head unit in the EV3 trying to authenticate me in the Connect app. It says it’s sent an authentication message to my connect app, but nothing arrives, there is no alert on the app, and I cannot find it. After 2 minutes countdown, it times out. Then rinse and repeat… My phone number is correct. I even deleted it off the app and added it again. They sent a text message to authenticate this, which was successful

Can anyone please shed any light on this?

I attempted to raise a ticket with Kia support yesterday, but after typing in all the details and pressing send, it went blank, I had no confirmation and I’ve not had an email advising that I’m in the queue. Again, a Kia IT fail! Great cars, useless online !
