Afraid this is the norm for EV's as temps drop so does battery efficacy & also usage of the battery. Heater uses main battery to heat car. So each time it is required to heat car you are losing range.
Wet roads require more power to drive on.
Range is only a guesstimate based on previous usage. Turn temp down on A/C and range will rise, turn it up & it will go down.

"charge in battery is greater than the charger" never heard that before, so where is that message displayed? You can only charge to 100%

This is something manufactures need to focus on to educate new EV owners.

WLTP figures for EV's need to be in 2 parts. One as now which covers summer. Then another with a zero temp. Both also need to run the car to zero battery charge & also include a test for charging back to 100% in both tests.

( Sometimes a bit too much info???) If more people read these manuals BEFORE driving their missiles at 70 MPH, and especially here on this forum, the first 60 pages entitled Electric Vehicle Guide, You could go on holiday. thanks for your patience with us, and for being there.🤐👿

They are all promoting the positives of a change to EV, but never seem to add that changes of weather etc all have affect the real world experience.
Just downloaded the brochure for the e-nire.

It can be recharged from 0% to 80% in only 54 minutes using any charger offering a speed higher than 80 kW. If you mainly drive in the city,

Motor. Combined with the long-range battery, the 150 kW motor accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.
Heat pump. The optional heat pump helps save energy and therefore battery range, in particular at temperatures below 10° C and while using air conditioning. Battery heating system.
The battery pack situated underneath the e-Niro is equipped with a battery heating system that can be controlled from the touchscreen. Nor whether the battery heater is definitely there or not part of UK spec (I don't know)... and under what degree of cold conditions the heater comes on.

Accept what you say fully but the OP has had His car for nearly a year and yet seems to have no idea why his range is down at this time of year.

 

Hi all, new to this forum so please go easy on me 😊 OK so got 2021 E Niro three weeks ago and love it. Got my Zappi installed Saturday so decided to charge it up fully last night. Got a notice at 5am that car was fully charged, but only 402kms on the range at 100% battery level. When I collected from dealer it was charged fully and had a range of 455kms which I was thrilled with. Why have I lost so much range after a few weeks?

Last weekend I had two very long drives in very cold conditions... Is it possible that when charging now it takes previous driving conditions into account? How do I get GOM back to 455kms on full charge? Thanks in advance

EV's are a whole new ballgame to ICE drivers.
You have not lost anything. It's just the GOM (Guess O Meter) becoming used to your driving. It is historic based, as you inferred.

Cold effects range. Wet even more so. With a EV you see a more pronounced effect due to the way the car expresses range. With a ICE the effect is there, just that it is not as in your face.

Once warmer weather returns 15C+ then you will start to see it rise over time.

As someone likes to say ABC = "Always Be Charging" when you stop.
