Never heard of any special method - do all aftermarket battery places know how to change the battery on a Citroen?

What electrical work are you doing?

 

Removing speedo to check for loose connections.

 

I was always told remove earth connector first, replace it last.

More important if red connector next to bodywork.

I'm not worried about the radio. I'm going to replace it anyway.

 

OK so it's probably best to disconnect the battery before doing that. Have you looked in the manual? - the manual for mine lists the things which need to be reset after battery disconnection - it's in the Maintenance section at the back.

 

No I haven't looked at the manual. Is that the owner's manual or the haynes?

 

Owners - Haynes don't seem to do manuals for KIAs.

 

I managed to get a Haynes for the Sorento. Although it doesn't seem to distinguish between diesel and petrol engines, nor does it mention the two types of transfer box control.
