Carens 2.0crdi Starting Problem

Hi

I am looking for some help for my father in laws car.

He has a 2003 CRDi Carens which has recently had a starting issue. He has replaced the fuel pump but still no joy.
Sometimes it starts sometimes it doesn't!

Any advice on what to check for would be massively appreciated.

If you would like more details please ask and I'll ask him.

injectors leaking internally most likely, do a leak off test, lots of info on the www,

Any chance you could provide further details on how to do a test? How do the injectors come out?

Is it a case of putting new injectors in?

When it's refusing to start, is the immobiliser light on or off?

Same question, immobiliser lamp on of off when it happens? Watch the light!

That rules out an immobiliser problem,time to look at the fuel system as above.

If imo light comes on, that means key send wrong codes to ecu or may need to check you timing ?!
