Annoying chimes

Is there any knowledge about why the car chimes in three different ways when starting/stopping the car.

In this video it shows quite well what I mean.

I have noticed that if I open the driver door before stopping the engine, it will start chiming at me even though the engine and car is off. But if you stop the engine before opening the door the car makes no sound.

The KIA Stonic is a fantastic little car but just has some really annoying features.

Bit confused about the above but I think IanB has hit the nail on the head. Seatbelt warning if car started but belt(s) not fastened for those seats which are occupied. Might is also be that you are undoing your seatbelt before turning engine off? Many cars will warn if door opened with key still in the ignition.

My Sportage always gives appropriate graphics on the dash whenever it makes any noises, apart from the seatbelt warning which has a separate display, but this only occurs when seatbelt unfastened and car is moving faster than about 10 mph - same with door or tailgate open warnings.

Suggest that the next time you get chimes you look carefully for any display or warning lights - I don't have a Stonic but I would expect it to give you a clue what it is complaining about - I might be wrong on this though..
Okay, seat belt I can understand.

I'll try to explain better. If the door is opened before the engine is stopped and ignition is turned off, the car will chime at me with no warnings. But if i stop the engine snd and ignition before opening the door, it's completely silent.

This is a keyless car.
