Picked up my New Sportage in August and loving the car, But I wonder if you could shed some light on the following - I am not on facebook so cannot post there.
I picked up my car on the 16th Aug this year and my data on the vehicle for software and firmware is as follows :
Software VersionQL.EU.SOP.20.105;
FirmwareQL.EU.SOP.20.104;
Navi app VerQL.EU.SOP.08.50.63;
Map VerEUR.08.47.50.001.001(D.B1)
Another member bought a secondhand sportage in Feb and was told there was a software/firmware update (not maps) released on 4th July 2016 and he has had his updated to the following :
Software Version QL.EU.SOP.20.112
Firmware QL.EU.SOP.20.104
Navi app Ver QL.EU.SOP.09.46.57
Map Ver EUR.08.47.50.001.001(D.B1)
so the changes were to the software up to 112 and the navi app ver to 09.46.57
my questions are as follows :
(1) Should mine have been updated before I picked it up
(2) Where can we find out where the latest version is (could not see it on the website shown on the headunit)
(3) Do you have to request an update or is it done on a service etc, My car was with KIA all day yesterday for some paid for work (not to do with the stereo) but head-unit was not loaded with the latest software updates automatically)
I realize that map updates will be a paid for update but are the software / firmware updates required to be done
