The most annoying 'unknown' bleeps I perceive are those associated with the approach to a speed camera if you are only a gnats whisker over the speed limit and similarly those when travelling through an average speed check area (which are about 40% of teh roads round here)

All the other bleeps and pings seem to be associated with some indication on the dash instruments.

Average speed cameras could have been the cause, as there are a lot of road works on the M1 with those in place. I will test the theory next time I drive that way.

If it is Average Speed then you should see the speed indicator on the Nav screen change colour (to yellow I think) when you are overspeed.

There is no option on the Gen 5 Compact Nav to set any tolerance, that I have yet found 😒😒
