That would depend how those 51 miles were driven amongst other things,ie a/c on flat out etc.

For the M25 that can be good or partly parked up in drive/accessory mode with everything running?

 

I would not worry about that too much. As you have no idea how it was driven or what they have been doing, car could have been turned on & systems running (V2L) while being valeted. What is the long term figure?

More important is has it been serviced as it should have been.
So should have had one service this year. As it is 24 months or 20K miles, which ever is 1st from date of registration.

 

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think it was registered end of August 2023 so will be just about due for its first 20k service (not being sold by Kia garage) A bit of a financial hit but at least I'd find out immediately if there are any issues.

 

I always wonder why an EV needs an expensive service as there is not much to service other than brakes and wiper blades?

 

Coolant needs changing, cables need checking.

The only difference between ICE & EV is the power unit. Everything else is the same.

 

As others have pointed out, it’s entirely down to how it was used over those 6 hours.

My Niro (late 24 plate) typically achieves 4.8mi/kWh between charges.

 

Tesla obviously have a lot of faith in their cars. Not that I would ever buy one.

 

But one thing Telsa will do is let you go for a pre warranty ending check. Then fix any issues under warranty.
Something other EV manufactures need to think about 🤷‍♂️
