XS and Xt have torque on demand which cuts 4WD in and out automatically.If you do not keep an eye on tyres and change them round maintaining the best on the rear failures of the transfer box occur.The XE you select 4WD only when you require it.these are not so critical on tyres .Edited by: BIRDMAN

 

it is best to assume the transfer box on the XS & XT is not working correctly until you prove other wise,

 

Looks like XE is the one to go for then....

I,ve had my pre facelift sorento xe for 4 years now with no issues with the 4wd system.can count on one hand the times I,ve had to use 4wd.a good set of at tyres and good ground clearance works wonders.kev t.Edited by: kev t
