Wondering if anyone has experimented with different brands of diesel and what where the results. No way will I touch supermarket fuel,have seen what it does to fuel pumps.
Have you tried the plus diesel from BP or Shell.what was the out come?

Found my Transit ran quiter and about 4 extra mpg with shell V plus.

I've started using Shell V-Power but only as a reaction to the agro I've had with fuel system probs on my Sedona over 4 1/2 yrs.


I think the supermarkets should be held to account for all this crappy fuel, or at least a change in the EU standard for diesel composition.

Having picked this up somewhere else on this forum:


Use whatever diesel you want but dont go within a mile of BioDiesel. screws up the seals apparently.

Biodiesel is made from crops as opposed to oil, see the episode of top gear when they entered the Britcar 24hrs silverstone race.


It will be marked on the pumps as something like E85. That relates to the ratio of Biodiesel to real diesel in the fuel. At the moment no one that I know of sells pure BioD, but I think morrisons offer E85.
