My drivers side front washer jet has stopped working! well it does still work but is so weak that it doesn't even hit the windscreen.
I have removed the whole washer and cleaned it as good as I could but its still the same, in removing it I broke the top clip so it does go in the hole but isn't as secure as before.
The problem I have is with the cost of these things, cheapest one I could find was on ebay for £16.40 :surprise:
does anybody know where to get one cheaper? even tempted to get a second hand one although I could end up in the same position again after a few months. or has anybody used a generic one that works on the ceed?
thanks for the help guys, do you know how much a dealership charges for one? yes I can ring my dealership and check but its always a faff talking with them if anybody has brought one recently would be nice to know a price from them?
When my rear washer stopped working on a Piccanto my dealer wanted £55 to investigate. That was two years ago. I fixed it easily. It was muck as this does not get used a lot. Dealers have showrooms that do need paying for - by us!
from some googling I managed to find a forum in Russian that I helpfully google translated but what the guys on the forum were saying was that the washer jets from an i30 would fit.
Hyundai part number - 98630-2l100
these are only £4 for 2 delivered, coming from china they obviously take a bit of time, mine took around 2 weeks.
fitted them yesterday and they work fine, so a nice cheap source of washer jets for the ceed from the i30
The russian guys said the genuine version of these from hyundai are even better than the genuine washer jet you get from kia, so if you want an improvement on your ceed washer jets go to a Hyundai dealer and get this jet - 98630-2l100
Why to the washer jets go, I took one apart and there is nothing in them, baffling,
I ordered a Drivers Side jet £9 of Kia, eBay was more which was madness,
Since I bought the replacement the originals have been perfect sods law.
