Front propshaft sliding joints we have checked 5 customers cars this week as an exercise and found two with very stiff sliding joints this sliding joint is the part responsible for propshaft and transfer box failures if you genuinely use your car off road then ask your dealer to remove the front prop UK and check and grease the sliding joint, these joints are tight and even with our air powered grease gun we are struggling to get any grease into the sliding joint

when the prop is in place there is very little sliding the joint can do so it can become stiff or seize the rear does not suffer because it has much more sliding to do because of rear axle deflection

we are in the process of feeding this info back to KIA but its going to come down to dealers checking these joints manually
