Just for information:
Today I received a letter from Kia stating my vehicle (1.7 CRDI ECO) March 2011 will require the Vacuum pump to bereplaced.
I have not noticed any problem with engine power or braking efficiency, and no warning light. has anyone else had this letter from Kia?

If you search this forum, you will find a lot of discussion about brake failure - it seems to be linked to the 1.7 vacuum pump. Rather a worthwhile replacement, it seems.

I received the exact same letter 2 weeks after my 1st service

Had the vacuum pump replaced and everything seems fine

The garage service team told me that they only found errors and warnings on less than 5% of cars but still did the recall so fair play
