Hello Folks
Had my Sportage for 3 weeks and so far very impressed, 38.7 mph and still improving.

Only quirk I have noticed is that if I come up to an island and want to turn right and have indicated.

IfI turn the steering slightly to the left it cancels the control, is this normal?

Also I have been told that there is a squeek from the boot area on the drivers side, but I can not hear it!

Mine you I have been told I am deaf as a post.

Any one have the same problems?

Just picking up on your mileage comment - my 4WD 2.0 litre diesel Sportage with auto box has only ever done 29.9 mpg over its 4 year life. Is yours the 2WD? Any others with similar claims? Regards, Geoff

Hi Geoff
Yes mine is the 2 wheel drive, had an auto for the last 12 years, had 37.8 on the last 300+ miles tripI done to north wales.

Been told not to expect go milage until the engine has done 20k.

I am a bit of a cruiser but still got that mileage on the motorways at approx 70 mph most of the time.

The number of times I may need 4 wheel drive is possibly 5% so with my model select sports mode and 2nd gear and go backwards!

I mainly need the ground clearance with the Farm tracks I go to.
