In preparation for my trip to Europe in my 2026 Sportage GT-Line S Petrol I took a look at the Travel Mode setting in the Infotainment system. What I found was Travel Mode setting in the OFF position which is what I would expect for a UK car. What I didn't expect was the diagram illustrating the setting shows the car in the right hand lane. Setting the Travel Mode to ON places the car in the left hand lane. See photos.

If I am reading all that correctly a UK car is delivered with default Travel Mode OFF (expected) but the lights set for right-hand side driving (incorrect).
Or are the diagrams incorrect?

I would expect this is yet another example of Kia’s ‘Cack Handed’ way of trying to adapt EU software to UK software and getting it wrong again, and they’ve just forgotten to reverse the images In line with the switch.

It sounds similar to the dealer my sons buys his cars from, they have a specific team whose only job is to deal with the tech and tech issues. His just picked up a new Mercedes AMG CLA and the tech guy spent 40 minutes going through all the tech and making sure he understood. It is a completely different experience from buying Kia, but it should be at those prices... :ROFLMAO:
I think most garages are way behind on the electronic/tech side, they have a lot of catching up to do.

Most modern cars don’t have a ‘kick up’ pattern to their dipped beam lights. It’s almost flat topped, the ’kick up’ is almost unnoticeable. So when the travel mode is selected, it’s probably quite difficult to notice a difference. I’ll check tonight though as it’s good to know these things.
