Hi, all, this is my first post on a forum ever, so!!!!.
We own a 2005 sorento xt, 58k, with the auto4x4 system, (just selectable low range),

Right the problem is self inflicted when i did a hand break turn in the snow a couple of months ago,

following the turn approx 100m the transmission was instantly "wownd up" and remained that way for approx 5k, and only released when i spun the wheels up un some ice.

Its been fine since then untill the last couple of weeks, now in breif i have an intermitent wine and the drive train seems to grab/clunk and stays like that untill i go round a corner, which frees it.

It may be the centre diff setup/ etc, its a manual g/box and does this fault in any gear, so it seems to be the transfer box issue.

So does anybody know how my 4x4 system actuall works in detail, and has anybody had a similar fault, i need to sort it as i dont want to run it to distruction,

Appreciate any help and advice, cheers Mark
