Hi all. 2006 diesel XT.
I have a slight oil leak from the transfer box. Is the rear oil seal replaceable? The garage I use normally send off transfer boxes for refurbishment but the mechanic said he'd have a go at replacing the oil seal if it is possible.

It does look like it. Now all I need is the part number.

If you measure the Outside diameter, the output shaft diameter and width of the seal any reputable bearing stockists should stock seals.

I've had a look on Partsouk. There are 2 possibilities which would cost me about £27 in total so I'll just buy both.

Ah now then?...there's the incentive?..It's just that Kia don't make oil seals and as Birdman says, you would get the same seal from a supplier if you could find the inner and outer dia.

Better check with your garage that they have a tool to hold the propshaft flange on the back because that nut on the shaft is very tight?
