Hi anyone got any ideas of the cost to replace thrust bearing on my 2012 1.2 eco picanto?Only done 30,000 miles and the clutch is perfect but the bearing is noisey so might as well change the clutch while the gearbox is down.It has been noisey for three years but under the 7 year warranty it is not covered .

Well you have pretty much the same cost as a clutch job less the plate and pressure plate..but it would be false economy to ignore inspection while the gearbox is out..find yourself a trusted independent and ask them..nothing ventured nothing gained..

Thanks Phil I was thinking the same anything other than the main agents which would cost me an arm and a leg.

Is it certain that it is the thrust bearing? This is an appalling piece of work by Kia if is. These should lat at least 100,000 miles in most cases and even my Escort in which I trained my three children to drive the clutch lasted 105,000 miles.
Mr Clutch is a cheap option , I used an independent garage for my only clutch renewal in 53 years driving, but at least Mr Clutch does specialize in clutches.
Very depressing to hear of this . My Piccanto ( 2010) at 42,000 is still fine but I have given up the dealer as being thieving gits.
