My Sedona sat there as well, as most of the cars i have owned. If i had a car that had a gage running higher i would start to get worried.

any ideas why my fuel consumption is so low?

Could be a number of things, lack of servicing, clogged air filter, low tyre pressures, incorrect fueling. Try a new air filter first. Some back street garages & even dealers don't bother changing stuff which should be changed at service intervals
to increase profits.

I am getting 33.8 mpg overall, using Morrisons diesel @ £1.369 per litre. My driving is a mixture of 30mph zones and dual carriageway on my 13 mile journey to work most days.

My temperature reading sits exactly as per the picture, but takes a while to get there, so I may replace my thermostat at the next messing about with the car interval.

temp gauge exactly where it should be! Large diesel engine takes a while longer than petrol engines to warm up. Heater will be warm before your gauge makes a significant jump!! Typical Kia "me thinks"!
