Hey all first time posting here.
My girlfriend has a 2016 Kia Picanto that she bought earlier this year. We never tested the windows at the time but the passenger side window in the front has this strange issue.
It will roll down fine, but will not roll back up. You can roll it down a little bit, and keep rolling down as much as you like but pulling the switch up does nothing.
The usual fix seems to be leave the car turned off for 15 mins or so, after which point it will roll back up again.
At the weekend I took the door card off to see if the switch was corroded or something, everything looked fine. The weird thing is after putting it all back together, it was fixed! Must have rolled it up and down like 10 times. No issues. Can’t remember if the car was started or not at any point probably just the electrics on.
Then the next morning, checked it again and without starting the car it worked fine. As soon as we started the engine and rolled it down it was stuck again. Would just go down but not even try to go up.
Very weird because presumably the switch is fine? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help Kia experts
