I've bought a 2007 V6 Sportage, 120 000k's, good nick (I think!). There is a slight suspension knock all round, but louder in the front, when traversing small bumps. My dealer here in SA just wants to fit new struts/shocks all round, but I dont believe the shocks are the problem. All standard shock tests seem to prove the shocks are OK (static tests and hard cornering etc, all is OK). I've read somewhere that there is a rubbermounting assembly on top of the strut assembly and that can cause a knocking noise - there was apparently a recall a few years ago on this subject, but of course the SA dealers wontsay anything. Anyone out there had a similar hassle...?Much appreciate any comments please.

Hi Cesspool
The only suspension problems I have heard about was the anti roll bar rubbers and the mounting blocks on the rear sub frame.

Maybe worth asking in Sportage section?

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll have a look at those. Just by the way, is there a good source somewhere for a manual for this model, Haynes or similar?
