With adaptive cruise control, though, the Kia deserves a test run!
The adaptive cruise is great, particularly on motorways and dual carriageways.
But I also use it for the 20/30mph zones here in darkest Wales. It will stick to the speed you set and adjusts as required if the vehicle ahead slows or speeds up. No driver intervention required, bit scary at first but now its second nature.

Be wary of parked cars, the adaptive cruise control can 'think' it is a car that has suddenly stopped, and it acts accordingly, bringing your car to a halt.
Thanks @mr.macspot , I have experienced that but not often. A short stab on the accelerator corrects it when it does occur. It's not perfect but it helps me a lot.

My BIG bug bear is the 'advanced interior protection warning'
I agree, this needs a shortcut. I did suggest KIA add it to the list of items that can be assigned to the user defined * button on the infotainment or steering wheel.
Being a dog owner this is a pain when leaving the dog in the car for a few minutes at a garage or shop for example.
