Mine did this when I was on my way back from Holiday in the Sorento...

Do a reboot of the system, small hole below knob on system... use a pen or the like, fixed mine :)

I set a destination on Saturday and after about 5-10 mins I could change the options, when I restarted they were greyed out again.. coming back once driving for a short time.

Today, I did a 100 mile round trip including through road works on the motorway with average speed cameras and it notified me of almost all, but not every camera .. I was also using the sat nav which showed the camera positions

When I left home it was all greyed out but a little later it was not and I could change settings

I am, as suggests going to message Kia if we all do it may get something sorted

Another thing I noticed when I set a destination in the Sat nav in the top right of the map it said "Powered by Here" I thought maps were TomTom not Here mapping

Was this a change when they said a major map update

Mine stopped working in my PHEV Sorento after installing the Sept 2025 update.
i‘ve also tried the reset with no effect and also looked on my phone (Kia Connect) but there are no options there that can help.
I still have connection via the app so I will persevere trying to set the alert on the head unit often to see if comes back unexpectedly….. will report on any progress.

So this is what I have found after some trials….

SUN 29 SEPT ‘25
As reported earlier in the thread, upon start up the camera alert function was greyed out and was not ticked. It could not be selected.
I closed the menu.
I drove a route where I knew there would be a camera. The alert sounded as normal, both approaching and clearing the camera.
after a short while I parked and looked at the menu again. Now the alert was showing as available and it was now ticked.
I shut down and left the car for around 30mins.
On my return, I checked the menu and the alert was greyed out again.
on the return journey the alert sounded as normal and the option was back on the menu when I pulled up.

MY CONCLUSION……
Kia has made this function automatically active on start up with no means to cancel.
once triggered by a camera, it is then possible to de-select it.

I can only assume that this might be to encourage more use of the facility, possibly as a safety consideration?
