Hi All ""“ Help Please

Sorento 55 CRDi Auto with low miles, intermittent power loss.
The engine revs to 2500mpm if I'm lucky, then
this may improve to 3500 but nothing after that.

Again yesterday the
problem accrued and limped home. This morning no problem but it's back again. No dash lights, no
smoke, no nothing!!

Have changed the
fuel filter, a mechanic has run his own diagnostic check and nothing showed-up.
Help / advice please""¦

I have looked through my paperwork cannot give part number for position sensor as these were replaced under warranty at 2500 miles and again 14000 miles. I have also had a accelerator pedal assembly when it would not rev above 1000 rpm. The part number for this is 32700E300. Hope this is of use to work on.

Ok, guys a quick up-date

Removed the fuel tank filter and cleaned it out thoroughly,
some debris was removed -

Re-fitted and started the engine and guess what""¦. Still got
the problem !! -

Had the vehicle serviced approx 2 months ago, but opened-up
the air filter and found a "K'in" great mouse's nest/food store, gladly they were not in residence,
photos were taken

Air filter chewed to bits, replacement now in place with a
blanking plate fitted to the internal air inlet tube (with obviously ample air
holes) when time allows another plate will be fitted to the external end of the
intake tube ""“ So mouse now homeless and a happy owner again !!

And many thanks for the replies-
