Was installing front and rear mudguards on my magentis but after 2nd tyre the locking wheel nut seemed to become deformed and kept slipping off. Removed 3rd tyre with difficulty but by the time I got to the last one it was impossible. Anyone have this problem?
I found before that locking wheel nut keys can be extremely soft I've gone through a couple since garages use the air guns to tighten up I always make them tighten by hand after jumping up and down at side of road trying to get them off
Once you remove them copper grease a line on thread makes easier to remove
Is your key a star design or a lined groves design :/
Rather than lubricating the wheel studs (which is not reccomended) clean them with a wire brush.Once lubricated, the nuts are easily tightened too tight and can stretch the studs which in turn can either strip thread or snap the studs!
