Hi, i have a 2006 Sorento diesel, it is a manual and hasa slight misfire @ approx 2000rpm with light throttle. There does not seem to be a misfire @ any other rpm, i can drive through it. Fuel consumption ok, no black smoke, starts ok.Has anyone else experienced this fault please, getting to me a bit now!

This engine dosn't often suffer misfires. On your 4X4 selector switch I suspect you have , Auto and 4low not the 2 wheel drive option. The missfire is probably 4X4 wind up. The transfer box runs TOD torque on demand, it needs special oil from Kia and you must keep the tyres the same make and tread depth all round. Before spending any money you can prove this one way or the other by disconecting the TOD at a plug socket on the transfer box. There are two conectors , follow the brown wire from just below the rear propshaft to find the correct conector. no harm will come from test driving it with this disconected.
