Hi all,

I had a slight knock from the front end of my latest Carens so popped it into the dealer by appt this morning. They checked everything underneath & all was fine, the mechanic tweaked all the bolts just in case & greased the bump stops. He happened to casually mention that there has been an advisory notice from Kia re the top mount bolts of the shock absorbers. The factory setting is 5 (I'm presuming nm) of torque & Kia now advise 8. Duly tweaked up to 8 this has made a noticeable difference to the handling.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Thanks Mark,

I'm in for 40K service in few weeks & have printed your comment to stick in my service book as a reminder!

Mind you, I'm happy with my KIA dealer - they tell me if there are any TB's etc.
contrary to what we read on the forums, there are some good dealers out there!

Cheers

Gary
