Hi all
i discovered there is an update released this month so I downloaded and installed it on my 2021 PHEV.

All went okay, except that I now find the selection for speed camera alerts is all greyed out, meaning I cannot set this.
I have used it effectively from when the car was new and it is such a useful resource, especially in unfamiliar territory, I will be disappointed If this is a permanent loss.

Has anyone else found this to be the case, or is there a further menu selection that I have missed that causes it to be greyed out.

The route to it is through the NAVIGATION menu followed by ALERTS on the ‘settings menu’ within that.

any assistance would be much appreciated.
thanks Nigel

Thanks Noublue … I did some searches and found a few references to this elsewhere…
the intermittent nature got me thinking and this is what I have found after some trials….

SUN 29 SEPT ‘25
As reported earlier in another thread, upon start up the camera alert function was greyed out and was not ticked. It could not be selected.
I closed the menu.
I drove a route where I knew there would be a camera. The alert sounded as normal, both approaching and clearing the camera.
after a short while I parked and looked at the menu again. Now the alert was showing as available and it was now ticked.
I shut down and left the car for around 30mins.
On my return, I checked the menu and the alert was greyed out again.
on the return journey the alert sounded as normal and the option was back on the menu when I pulled up.

MY CONCLUSION……
Kia has made this function automatically active on start up with no means to cancel.
once triggered by a camera, it is then possible to de-select it.

I can only assume that this might be to encourage more use of the facility, possibly as a safety consideration?
