Hi, I have a 2006 Sedona (new shape) TS with the 2.9 diesel enginewhich is just 3yrs old and out of its warrenty. I want to start servicing it myself but have been told by a mate that I will not be able to replace the fuel filter has it is a high pressure system that needs to be depressurised before I can disconnect the fuel lines coming into it. Is he right or can I do it myself?

Cheers

Thats a new one on me !!! I'm sure the HSE would take a dim view of consumables holding a static pressure.

It sounds completely mental to me but who knows what the latest innovations are. Check with the dealer to be 100% sure.

It is a high pressure diesel system, however the fuel filter is very much on the low pressure side of it!
Easy to change by yourself, no problems at all.
