Took the car over the weigh bridge today and here are the figs :-

Front axle :- 840kg

Rear axle :- 480kg

Thats with less than a quarter in the fuel tank. Nothing in the boot apart from spare wheel and tools.
Driver weight 95kg

Sounds about right.

So I wonder how much a full tank would affect the rear ale weight ?

I am also wondering if I got a couple of chunky lads to sit in the back, would it cancel out the weight at the front and then have a perfectly balanced Rio. he he

Or another 1.5 Rio diesel engine in the back and have it 4 wheel drive. Perfect balance with a good turn of speed. Ideal for the winter months in Scotland.

That's an interesting and scary idea.
Would really move though.

Reminds me of that one off rally Austin / Metro car.
