With less than 9000miles under its belt, my 10 plate Rio
is running smoothly, mainlyon short, hilly urban journeys.

But is anyone else recording 29mpg for this kind of

driving?Should I expect more from a modern 1.4 petrol
engine - or switch to another Kia model?

regards

I've heard these 1.4petrol Rios aint that good on the juice so I think your in the same boat.
There's plenty posts about this if you search the relevent Rio section.

i would think that's normal for a 1.4 petrol if you're doing short journeys and hills. My previous car was a ibiza 1.4 petrol and that would manage low 30s MPG on country roads and traffic hence the move to CRDi.
