Just got my EV6 a week ago. Used the remote climate control yesterday as it was -1 outside and hard frost on the windscreen. It activated successfully according to the app. 20 mins later when I got in the car, not a jot of difference to defrost. Only bit remotely warm was the steering wheel. Cabin still cold and had to sit for further 5 mins with car running to get the windscreen viewable. Even after driving 15 miles it hadn’t fully cleared the windscreen. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to go back to the dealer. Any one else had similar ?

I seem to remember someone mentioning a issue with the heater in the EV6

But is EV6 like Niro & will only pre heat while cable is connected?

Poor/non existent heating

Given you are looking at a electric heater, you would think it was a simple fix. Unless the issue is not the heater & somehow tied into the heat pump & scavenging the heat from the batteries to heat the car messing it all up. Always found that different cars require different heat settings to...

The cable was connected

I have an e-Niro and it only pre.heats if UNPLUGGED. Apparently scheduled climate control will work but not on demand via app. Weird.

I can never seem to get the remote climate control working. Sometimes it says it is on, but then doesn't seem to be when I get to the car. Sometimes it says it has failed because the "car needs to be plugged in" even though the car is plugged in - but I think that charging was finished so the car seems to think that it is not plugged in.

So far it is not a very useful feature at all.
