Evening all

I have an 06 Rio CRDI and with all this sub zero temperature the pipe that supplys the screen wash to the rear window has burst/split somewhere in the trunking in the drivers footwell (I have soggy jeans to prove it!)

Can anybody tell me the best angle of attack to fix this?

Many thanks in advance

Rob

Rob where its burst is where the footwell trim comes down to the sill trim. The hose is joined in there and comes apart in freezing conditions. Take the sill trim off as well as the plastic footwell trim off next to your accelerator pedal. You will see the rubber hose which joins to a plastic pipe. Put this back on and use small cable tie and wrap round hose at joint and this will cure your problem. Next step while you have all the trim off is to lift carpet up and squeeze out all the screen wash that has been absorbed by the insulation.

Oh, that's worrying! May be worth doing that mod even though mine has been ok so far. The washer jet system seems to freeze up very easily, even with screen wash added.
