I've was told at my last service that my rear discs on my 2016 1.7 Diesel Carens were getting close to thier limit but when I had my summer tyres put back on recently it was suggested they they had loads of life left in them.
I took a look at them myself and they don't have much of a lip, more a slightly crusty edge. I checked with a micrometer and they are dead on 10mm.
Does anyone know what the minimum thickness is and what they are when new. I'm going to change them myself but just don't want to if it's not really necessary.
Thanks

look in the brembo brake disk catalog, you'll find a drawing with all the dimentions inc. min. thickness.
Thanks for that. I had a look and Brembo say they are 10mm so I guess I'm ok.
So Kia service guys said I needed to put my hand in my pocket and the tyre fitter was actually giving good advice. Next service if they say it again I think we will need to have a proper conversation.
