i have a v6 auto but the brackets on the rear axle have rusted and broken can those two brackets be got at kia or somewhere else please advise

I don't think so..is the axle casing itself sound?if so then it's possible to get something fabricated and fitted...it is a common fault..a photo would help?

i think its time for the scrap yard .shame its perfect inside all leather .and a spot on 3.5 engine so sweet offers around 400 quid

I'm sure I read of someone on the forum who carefully removed the old brackets and fabricated a steel band to fit around the axle tube and securely bolted in place..the purpose of the upper rods is to prevent the axle rotating rather than carry any weight?probably worth considering?
