If you swipe down on the screen Down, you will see the option for utility mode.
The first thing I did was switch off the climate control, turn off the radio if it’s on, select utility mode, then dim screen and lastly switch screen off.
Lock the car using the KIA app.
This is what I did & it works fine. The car will be locked, but the mirrors are out??
My one has been downloading for days, but this could be the Vodafone signal in my area.
Plus my app now keeps logging out,

Well that was an epic, download finally finished.
Left it in utility mode from 9:30 & finished at 3:30 (well it could have finished earlier but did not check)
I had a momentary Start Vehicle Stop Vehicle buttons appear in the App & then they disappeared a few seconds later. Did anyone else see this or did I just imagine it?

 

What a faff! Much easier to download it to a PC (even though it downloads at a measly 4Mbs) and copy it to a USB stick (the Kia website gives you instructions). Took about half an hour to install it on the car including the verification stage - it does it with the car off as well.
