Having issues with my drivers side folding wing mirror being intermittent, has anyone had this issue before that could shine some light on what's going on?

It doesn't seem uncommon, it has been asked about a few times on here. Mine fails to deploy every so often, flipping the switch sorts it after one or two cycles. Had the same on previous non-kia car, it never failed completely before I sold it.

Sounds like either a cracked wire or a worn cog on the fold action.

I've had the same problem on the driver's side. It seems to happen if you haven't used the car for a number of days and I too also sort it out be using the inside switch.
