Hi all,
I have a 2009 Sportage 4x4, the engine management light started flashing a few weeks ago, so put a tester on it and code P2032 showed as the fault, (exhaust gas temperature sensor). Bought a brand new sensor (not cheap are they), fitted it and erased the error code. Went for a drive and ping; Cameron again, put the tester on it and P2032 ,same code comes up.
It is important to understand that the fault code is not necessarily reporting a faulty sensor. It is reporting an unexpected value from that sensor. With no better diagnostic this can be guesswork, but it could be a wiring or comnnector fault or a dead catalytic converter.
Was it the temperature sensor on the Dpf you replaced. It is mounted on a gland on the side of the dpf & gets routed up through the floor of the car coming out under the drivers seat? If its that sensor it will throw a fault unless the sensor is sufficiently shoved in on the gland. A good few people on here have replaced that sensor. Its used to measure the exhaust temperature for purpose of doing dpf regenerations.

There are two Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors, I think you replaced Sensor 1
I believe although not an expert Sensor 2 is on the DPF, this sensor can come loose due to heat damage & slide out or the wiring can get snagged.
Sensor 2 is definitely the one on the DPF. They are numbered away from the engine - 1 is at the manifold and 2 is on the DPF.
