Hi,
I live in France and my Sportage 2008 has a default code P1405: Kia: Filtre à particules (FAP) - Régénération continue active.
The fuel consuption increased to 12l per 100km and the oil level incease too.

I identified on the web that this problem could be from a failure on temperature sensor on the turbocompressor airflow.
Have you information about this problem, and where is this sensor?

If the oil level has increased you need to look at why urgently as the only two ways for this to happen are either A) Fuel in the oil or B) water in the oil.

Both of which will damage the engine very quickly!

Hi, it's fuel in the oil. I just replace the oil and the filter. This phenomem is cause by the default 1504 with permanent regeneration. Kia explained to me that the regeneration is perform with overinjection of fuel. I tested yesterday the temperature sensor on the turbocompressor and it seems wrong. So i'm going to replace it and i will let you know.
