Just done my first long trip in my new Niro 4 Hybrid. Travelled to Middlesbourgh from Bournemouth (320mls)
Using Motorways and A roads and managed on average 66.4 mpg.
Very happy with the car and the mpg. Smart cruise control is just a pleasure to use and so easy to operate, so many safety features operating in the background made driving a pleasure.
I think the only annoying bit is the incessant Bongs, but sure I will get used to them one day.

So about £30 in petrol as against £7 if I did it in my EV

Factor in the additional purchase price for the EV version and depreciation and the HEV works out cheaper unless you are a high mileage driver. I did the sums.

You can turn them off. But need to do it each trip.

I've done that long trip via A1/M1/A34 in my HEV. You did well to get 66mpg. The best I managed was 60 mpg cruising at 65 mph. The HEV has an annoying habit of changing to a lower gear (higher rpm) on motorway inclines at speed when there is no real need to do so. In that situation I switch to Sport Mode for a short while to change up to a higher gear.

Get rid of the bongs by pressing the audio mute button on the right of the steering wheel for at least 2 seconds. Must be done each time you start the car.
