The rear doors don't get use often on my daughter's 63 plate Picanto 2 and we noticed recently that the offside rear door doesn't unlock with the central locking. You can manually open it from the inside but then it doesn't lock with the central locking and you have to manually lock it from the inside.

Has anyone experienced this and have any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes this is a reasonably common problem on the locks. I have found the cause can vary. 1. can be broken wires where they pass through the rubber gaiter to the door pillar. 2. a small spring on the locking mechanism breaks. 3. the wiring contacts on actuator inside the door panel corroded not making good contact or even wire connection come off.

Thanks and that’s much appreciated, it will be a job for the start of the milder weather, as I don’t have a garage and it’s way too cold for my hands at the moment.
