My oil is low according to the dipstick, purchased oil,a nice guy went to pour it in for me and he put a small amount in and it poured out of top, he said it looked grungy!! Anyone has advice? I own a Kia Rio domino 2011

Welcome to the club Pauline. How long is it since the car was serviced? I dont know how experienced you are with engines. But if you arent get someone to remove the tappet cover and see what it is that is blocking everything up.Edited by: grumpycrdi

Where did he pour the oil for it to "pour out the top".

I would suggest taking the car to a Kia dealer for them to investigate. Providing its been serviced correctly it is still under the 7 year warranty.

I see this post is a few weeks old now, however it reminds me of a friend who called me round to his house because his motor wouldn't start.
"what have you done to it now? " I asked. "Nothing, just changed the oil" he replied. We screwed off the filler cap, and sure enough, it was filled to the top.
Some oil was drained out, and it started OK.
