I have a new Kia Sportage and havea problem with the 'Engine Management System' which hasto be replaced, I have waited 2 weeks and been told it will take another week, (if I am lucky).... Is it usual that you have to wait three weeks for parts everytime your KIA breaks down?

IF I had known this before I had bought the car I would definately looked else where....

You'll be on the road soon, hang in there. It's not a major design fault. I had one of those with my previous Mazda, that's when you start fuming.

It's a brand new car and has to be off the road for a minimum 3 weeks to get a part, not a good sign for the future!!!!

Not usual, but being a new model, there isn't a full supply chain of parts available, previously kia CC have managed to get parts from port stock cars for customers waiting a while for parts.
