Hi all

My 2010 Ceed sw does not give an audible beep or chime when central locking is engaged/disengaged. Nor does this happen on my dads Pro Ceed so I take it this is normal.

Is there a way to modify this so it beeps in addition to indicators flashing?

Thanks

I don't think you will find many cars these days make an audible bleep when you lock them. Old car alarms used to chirp, it's a bit old hat, not to mention extremely annoying (and embarrassing), especially late at night.

You can hear the 'clunk' of the car locking and see the indicators flash - is this not enough??

it would be nice to hear the 'bleep' so you don't have to look at the car when locking to be sure it's locked! often the noise of the locks engaging is not audible when parking in busy car parks etc.
maybe i've got a touch of OCD but would an extra beep would be re-assuring to know it's locked
